An ordained elder, licensed missionary and impassioned evangelist, Patrice MucCular knows what it means to serve. Having ministered musically most of her life, Patrice began singing with her siblings at an early age, accompanying her pastor/father during revivals and other activities throughout the Churches of God in Christ.
By age 16, Patrice's passion for music led her to play the violin and direct both the youth and young adult choirs of the PowerHouse Church of God in Christ in San Pablo City, Calif. Marrying at an early age took Patrice to another level of service. Her late husband, Vodie MucCular, used his vision as a gospel promoter to lead the couple to co-host "Gospel Is," a good news television ministry on Comcast Cable that ran for 16 years. At the same time, Patrice served as a gospel radio announcer while raising a family, working part and full-time jobs, attending college, and contributing service through a variety of outreach ministries. Her hard work paid off when, three sons later, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in human services in 2001. In 2005, she received the Family of the Year Award in Stockton.
Patrice has an immense love for children, and her passion is evident in her endeavors. She is a former preschool teacher now serving as a social worker with Head Start of San Joaquin County. Her second love is the jail ministry, in which she conducts singing and preaching sessions for incarcerated women and men throughout the state.
As the proud pastor of New Covenant Tabernacle of Lodi, a non-denominational church under the umbrella of the Visionaries Pursuing Excellence, Inc., Patrice continues to share her love of the gospel. The release of her album, Yes Lord, has furthered her ministry of music, and she has absolutely no plans of slowing down.
